1. Introduction

"Cortex" ("we," "our," or "us") is an Android application developed by Cold Coffee Apps. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the Cortex application and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect distinct types of information depending on how you use our services.

2.1. Notification Content (User Content)

This includes the text, title, app name, and other metadata of the notifications your device receives.

• Local AI Processing (Default): By default, or when you select "Local AI," all notification processing happens exclusively on your device. Your notification content is never sent to our servers.
• Cloud AI Processing (Optional): If you subscribe to our Premium service and explicitly configure a specific rule to use "Cloud AI," only the notifications triggering that specific rule are transmitted to our servers.
  • Processing: This data is processed by our AI partners (OpenAI, Google, DeepInfra) solely to generate summaries, detect importance, or suggest auto-replies.
  • No Retention: Once processed, the original notification data is immediately and permanently deleted from our servers. We do not store, log, or use this data for any other purpose, specifically not for training AI models.

2.2. Account Information (Premium Users)

If you sign in to use Premium features, we collect limited information to manage your subscription:

• Firebase Authentication ID: Used to securely identify your account across devices.
• Subscription Status: To verify your eligibility for Premium features.
• Usage Counters: We track the number of notifications processed via Cloud AI to prevent abuse of the service and monitor system health.

2.3. Device & Usage Data (Analytics)

We use third-party tools to understand how our app is used and to identify stability issues.

• Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized, aggregated data about which features are used most often.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Automatically collects crash reports to help us fix bugs.
• These components operate as part of the core service and are not user-configurable.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted third-party services for specific infrastructure needs. These "sub-processors" are authorized to use your data only as necessary to provide these services to us.

• Oracle Cloud (India): Hosts our backend infrastructure for Cloud AI processing and user account management.
• Google Firebase: Provides authentication, analytics, and crash reporting services.
• AI Providers (OpenAI, Google, DeepInfra): Provide the Large Language Models (LLMs) used for Cloud AI processing. We have ensured that these providers do not use your submitted data to train their models.

4. User-Directed Data Sharing (Webhooks)

Cortex includes a "Webhooks" feature that allows you to automatically send your notification data to external URLs of your choosing. By configuring a webhook, you are explicitly directing us to share your data with that third party. You are solely responsible for ensuring the security and trustworthiness of any third-party service you connect via webhooks.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Notification Data (Cloud): Deleted immediately after processing.
• Local Data: All processed notification history stored on your device remains under your control and can be cleared via the app settings.
• Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request the complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@moyelauncher.xyz.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
